How It Started
The BDO was launched in 2025 after the OG Dogs, Ethan Miller & Alex Yde — two certified high-handicappers who were about as lost in their golf swings as they were in their own heads — decided the best way to make up for their game was to bet on it. They went looking for $100 matches against anyone dumb enough to take the bait, and it turned out plenty of people were. A line formed of players happy to take their cash, and out of that mess the BDO was born — a team match play competition that kicked off with 12 teams in 2025 and grew to 16 teams by 2026.
